Violet Helping With The Blog
Well, I still have the three cats. They are all healthy and old. Violet sometimes likes to sit on the keyboard while I am trying to blog. Here are a few pics of her doing just that. She thinks she's super important and actually helps me write.

Christmas with the Owens and Odoms
Sunday before we left Atlanta, we went to Steven's cousin's home for Christmas with Miss Sally's side of the family. Amy, Steven's cousin, has three adorable children, Trammell, Virginia, and Xander (short for Alexander). They are all so sweet and fun so I had to share some pics of them. Check it out.
Our trip to Atlanta for the SEC Championship
Steven and I went to Atlanta for the SEC Championship game. We had a great time!! We stayed in a super fun hotel, The W Midtown. The best part about it was Bliss Spa. I went to Bliss on Saturday for a few services. For those of you that don't know, I am a total product junkie and love spas. Bliss was started by Marcia Kilgore in Soho, New York. Now, the W Hotels own 51% of the brand with Kilgore retaining 49%. If you ever get the chance to go to a Bliss, don't pass it up!!! The atmosphere is second to none and the products are great. Bliss is known for their body butter. It is truly fabulous. It is very thick but doesn't peel up or feel sticky at all. This is a must for dry skin in the winter!!!!!

Christmas Decor At Our House
This year, I became obsessed with live wreaths. They look so much better than fake ones and smell wonderful. I put one in our den and one in our dining room. I did put a fake wreath on the front door because Home Depot was out of the one I wanted so I just used what I had. I also decided this year not to put wreaths on all the windows outside. It takes too long!!!!! They all need new bows and after making eight bows yesterday at Tara's, I am worn out! So, no wreaths on the windows at our house this year. Plus, due to my recent obesession with live wreaths, I just can't bear the fake ones. They just aren't as pretty. So we just have one wreath and a garland on the front door. Steven's job is the lights outside. He puts lights in two trees in our yard then puts other stuff I would rather do without in our yard. He has so much fun doing this I just can't tell him how I don't like the extra yard art such as the Alabama Elephant that lights up. Anyway, we started a new tradition last year by putting a live tree in our den. We hang all of our sentimental ornaments on it such as stuff we made as kids and all of my Barbie ornaments. Then, we put all of what Steven calls fancy ornaments on the fake tree in the living room. And, the real tree has colored lights all over it. The fake tree has read berry lights and white lights. I had to put the fake tree in an akward place this year because my piano will be delievered next weekend!!!! I can't wait!!!!! Here are the pics. I'll post more of the outside at night when I get a chance. Merry Christmas!!!!!

Thanksgiving with the Joneses and VanEttens
Mom had thanksgiving at her house for us and Jere's family. We had a great time!! There was plenty of good food and fun. The kids especially had fun since Jere's grandchildren, Areilia and Benjamin were there. Also, Jere's son Jon brought his girlfriend Kelly and her daughter, Mia. Jere's daughter, Dawn( mom to Areilia and Benjamin) was there too. We missed Scott and April and the kids this year. They had Thanksgiving with the Langs and some coworkers that don't have family in the states. Gracie and Mac picked carrots from Mom and Jere's garden and had a blast. Oh! I almost forgot that Lesley's sister, Kelly and her boyfriend, Matt were also there. We had a total of 18 folks for Thanksgiving. It was a wonderful and fun day. It felt great to all be at Mom's for the first celebration since Dad's passing.

Mac Love
Mac is my nephew who loves the Crimson Tide like his daddy and Uncle Steven. Steven, Chuck, and Mac went to Tuscaloosa on Sunday for a Big Al club event where Mac got to tour the stadium, play on the field and tour the locker rooms. According to Steven, Mac had a great time and was on cloud nine. Enjoy the pics!!!!

Too many illnesses for one week!!!!!
Well, I spoke too soon. I was bragging at school the other day how I rarely get sick. Well, then the you know what hit the fan. Sunday night, a week ago, I was up all night with the throw up virus. I went to the doc Monday and got a phenergran shot and some other stuff. This illness was really bad timing since it was the first day of my literacy block student teaching. Then, this week, I thought I just had bad cold. Well, Monday at school, I felt as if I could fall out at any minute. I went to the doc today and lo and behold, I have walking pneumonia!!!!! My sweet doc told me if I had let this go, I would have ended up in the hospital by the weekend. I did get two shots and some good meds so maybe I will be well enough to go to the Bama/Miss. State game this Sat. I really want to go because Tori and Bryan will be there and I think it will be fun to hang out with them. Anyway, please keep us in your prayers and hopefully I will make a fill recovery!!!! Maybe Steven will stay well.

Alabama Homecoming
Yes, It's kinda sad, another Saturday in Tuscaloosa. In a way, it's fun since the Loves come to Bama games due to Chuck and Mac's love for the Tide. Anyhow, we had a great time with everyone. Steven insisted that Gracie visit sorority row as he tried to change her from an Auburn fan to a Bama fan. Even though she said the houses were nice, she still loves Auburn!!!! We took a pic in front of the AOTT Homecoming display. Steven made sure to get the Alabama part of the display in the pic. I told Gracie she is a mature Auburn fan since she is willing to come to Tuscaloosa and weather the Bama games. Steven also brought his friend Shaun, who is from California and had never been to a Bama game. He had so much fun!! Check out the pics from the game. We missed the Weavers and the DeWaards. They stayed home since they are going to LSU next weekend.

Tennessee Trip
The Weavers went to Tennessee for a fall getaway and the Alabama/Tennessee game. We had so much fun that it went entirely too fast!! We were there Thursday through Sunday and had an action packed trip. We spent Friday in the mountains and then went to Knoxville that night for an Alabama riverboat cruise with the band, cheerleaders and Big Al. Needless to say, a good time was had by all. Saturday, we went to the game and then came home Sunday.

I Love Fall!
I am so excited it is cool weather this morning! I had to take some pics of my beautiful mums because they will be dead in a few weeks. Also, I am growing a Harlequin Jasmine Wall on the side of out garage. It was really easy to start. You can see in the pic of the side of our garage. Yay!! Happy Fall!!!
Gwen's Halloween Costume
I was at the Dollar Tree this week and found this halarious costume for cats! They actually had devils. witches, and other things but I couldn't help but get the princess one for Gwen. We tried to put in on her last night and you can see she didn't like it. We tried again this morning and she attacked the hat. The other cats rans when I tried to put it on them so atleast Gwen complied long enough for some photos. Enjoy!
