Tennessee Trip
The Weavers went to Tennessee for a fall getaway and the Alabama/Tennessee game. We had so much fun that it went entirely too fast!! We were there Thursday through Sunday and had an action packed trip. We spent Friday in the mountains and then went to Knoxville that night for an Alabama riverboat cruise with the band, cheerleaders and Big Al. Needless to say, a good time was had by all. Saturday, we went to the game and then came home Sunday.

I Love Fall!
I am so excited it is cool weather this morning! I had to take some pics of my beautiful mums because they will be dead in a few weeks. Also, I am growing a Harlequin Jasmine Wall on the side of out garage. It was really easy to start. You can see in the pic of the side of our garage. Yay!! Happy Fall!!!
Gwen's Halloween Costume
I was at the Dollar Tree this week and found this halarious costume for cats! They actually had devils. witches, and other things but I couldn't help but get the princess one for Gwen. We tried to put in on her last night and you can see she didn't like it. We tried again this morning and she attacked the hat. The other cats rans when I tried to put it on them so atleast Gwen complied long enough for some photos. Enjoy!

Sweet Tiger Kitty
I have been cleaning today and found Tiger sleeping in the green bedroom. He looked so sweet so I got out the camera and took some pics. Gwen heard me talking to him and she came in and demanded attention so I took some pics of her too. I tried to call Violet but she must have been asleep somewhere in the house.
Celebrity Sighting
Steven and I had a celebrity sighting this morning. We went to Crestline Bagel to get a quick bite before Steven left for Tuscaloosa and there was Sara Evans and Jay Barker. I am glad to report that Sara had on no makeup and is just a regular girl just like the rest of us. Go Sara!!! It's refreshing to see that even celebrities like fattening bagels loaded with cream cheese.

Renovating the Rancher
This is not always fun. About two and a half years ago, Steven and I bought a 1962 Ranch that needed mostly cosmetic work. The house had "good bones" so we were excited to move in and get to work. It's so funny to think I thought we get it all done in a year. Ha ha. We are still working on our rancher. We have or I should say I have painted every room, wallpapered bathrooms(Thanks, Mom!), tiled floor, and many other things that I told myself,"It only needs a little of this or that." Then, just decorating the house has been a long long process. Steven doesn't see the need for decor so sometimes, it is hard to get things done. We are about 3/4 of the way with the decor. We need rugs, rugs, rugs and a few other things. We put a new roof on this summer. Actually, Bear Roofing in the 'Ham did it. I had no idea that roofs could be so complex and cost so much. They did a great job and I included a roof pic so you could see.We are now almost ready to start our kitchen redo. This is going to be big. I wish I could win one of those HGTV sweepstakes for a kitchen redo. We are keeping the cabinets(they are real wood and nicer than anything we could afford today) and I have painted the walls and cabinets. The real work, countertops, floor, appliances will be coming one day soon. We are on the Dave Ramsey plan so this project has been delayed many many times. I can't wait until it is completed.
Lady Gwenivere
For those of you that know me well, know that I love my cats. Well, they are getting old and things are starting to happen. Expensive things, you know. The one that costs the most is Gwen. About a year ago, went spent several thousand dollars ( our vacation money) on Gwenivere. Everything has been great until Labor Day weekend. We came home from Atl to find Gwen in extreme pain with a clogged anal gland. So, we spent all of Labor Day in the emergency surgical clinic. Gwen had surgery to remove the gland and now she's fine. It's been four weeks and besides the missing hair due to shaving for surgery, she's 100% back to normal with one caveat. Gwen has become a complete diva. When Steven and I started dating, he HATED the cats. After some time, he and Gwen bonded. They now love each other so much. When she got sick, Steven and I gave her extra attention and it has now backfired on us. Gwen got a new pink bed, several toys and lots of canned cat food.(She couldn't eat hard food for two weeks.) Now, she drives us nuts everytime we open a can in the kitchen. Additionally, she begs for attention and gets mad if she doesn't get any. Below are some pics of Gwen in her new bed and of her scars. For those of you that are wondering: Yes, Violet and Tiger are still kicking it. They have not turned into divas yet.
Football Fun
Here are some pics from our football weekends. Steven and I spend a ton of time watching college football, especially the Tide. I wish I could spend more time on the Plains. Ah, the things you do for the one you love!!!! I still have fun in Tuscaloosa but I just miss Auburn. Last weekend, I went to Auburn with Clay and Lesley and Lesley's sister, Kelly. It was so much fun!! (Steven was in Athens.) I did miss my time with Steven. I'm waiting for Clay to send pics from Auburn. I'll post those when I have them.
